This holiday season, United Airlines is deploying professionally trained comfort dogs to seven of its U.S. hub airports to help travelers to de-stress. The airline calls this initiative the United Airlines United Paws Program. You might think this is a silly idea, but scientific studies show that petting a dog reduces stress. The comfort dog team at Dulles International Airport includes an English bulldog, a Great Dane mix and a retriever mix.
