Disney World is the happiest place on Earth, according to their ads. But they do have a point – the whimsey, the fun, the sheer scope of it all is incredibly impressive. But does that luster wear off as you get older? Does the pixie dust run out?
Not if you know what you’re looking for.
Disney World can still be pretty fun, especially when you add some “liquid refreshment” into the mix – trust me, it’s great. In the multicultural Epoct, there’s the now famous “Drinking Around the World” challenge, where you try some alcohol from each and every one of the countries on display. In Hollywood Studios, you can enjoy a nice, old style American meal, complete with Bailey’s milkshakes. The castle from Beauty and the Beast is in the middle of the Magic Kingdom, and offers beautiful decor, delicious food, and a surprisingly strong wine selection. And if all else fails? Downtown Disney is full of stores, theaters, and live shows.
So if you’re looking for a family vacation where you’ll still have fun, the place that Walt built might be a dream come true.
