Traveling, vacations, adventures – all these amazing experiences can be ruined by a unsatisfactory hotel. A bad hotel is the worst. But once you’ve had them, you really learn how to appreciate the happiest experiences.
Skift worked with Deanna Ting to figure out which hotels in the world have the biggest number of satisfied customers. It seems that Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, and Starwood are the most popular spots to stay in the world. On the other end of the spectrum? Motel 6.
On top of that, the Freddie Awards (which focus on loyalty programs) recently reported that Marriott has the strongest base for business travelers (though people who can afford it, seem to prefer the Hyatt elite program).
Accessibility, loyalty, even just location can dictate where we lay our heads down during a trip. But it’s important to know what you’re getting into when you visit a hotel. Make sure you do the research, so you can be the happiest you possibly can with the experience.
