In the mid-to-late twentieth century there was a huge fad for amusement parks and theme parks in Japan. Around the turn of the 21st century, many of them shut down due to lack of business. Now these former travel destinations are slowly disintegrating and urban explorers take photographs of the beautiful ruins. The ghostly remains of places like Western Village, Yamaguchi New Zealand Farm and more act as slightly creepy monuments to past good times.
