According to Los Angeles International Airport spokesperson Katherine Alvarado, customers passing through that airport left behind 3,705 items, including 154 laptops, 32 wallets, 98 cellphones and 229 driver’s licenses. That’s a lot of lost items. Unfortunately, because their are so many different organizations with jurisdiction in airports, retrieving lost items can involve jumping through a lot of bureaucratic hoops. Depending on where you lost your item, you may need to talk to the TSA, Airport Police, or your airline, and you may need to return to the airport the item was lost in.
