Getting stranded in an unexpected and unexplored place can be tough as hell. If you really didn’t expect to end up overnight somewhere, then you need to figure out how to deal with it. But what are the biggest threats of causing it? The common culprit is bad weather… or that’s at least what we think. It looks like it might be that’s more myth than fact.
According to a new article from the the Wall Street Journal , a number of apps are at least trying to make it something of the past.
Leading the charge are airlines that promiently fly through the United States, such as Southwest (and their new ‘Baker’ concept) or Delta (which has the brand new Viper app).
These new programs can allow travelers to see the upcoming changes in the weather and allow them to even change their flights on the go, so as to avoid anything… unavoidable.
