TSA checkpoints are the bane of all travelers who have to make their way through the United States. It’s never been easy to work around those kinds of problems, no matter where in the country you have to fly through. But a new change in the policy might open a serious shift and change the screening process – while also removing some of the process.
US Transportation Security Administration head Peter Neffenger is looking to simplify the process, by removing certain parts of the safety check and replacing them with bomb sniffing dogs. This way, the pre-check lanes will still include a metal detector but now passengers will be able to skip having to take their shoes off or remove any bagged liquids.
He’s even looking to put in at least an additional five hundred dogs into airports all across the United States. To learn more about the proposed program and the effect it could have, read the full story from Huffington Post writer Julia Edwards, right here.
