There are plenty of tourist traps in every city. But those places are relatively boring, and tame. They’re the places that appear on postcards and inside movies. Usually, you just want to avoid them. But every city has a few famous spots that are worth checking out.
And in New York City, there are countless beautiful places, even beyond all the world famous ones. But instead of just going to the usual haunts, you should check out these amazing places across the city.
You can check out Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, and see the amazing plant life. Or there’s the silent beauty of the Green-Wood cemetery, where you can see amazing pieces of nature.
The reconstructed Temple of Dendur was disassembled in the sixties and rebuilt in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and it still stands to this day. And then there’s the great, little party spot that is Red Hook.
