Texas is one of the largest parts of the United States, and home to way more than anyone expects. It’s not all bar-b-cues and automatic guns. And with over 200,000 miles of road to explore, there’s plenty you can see.
Houston is home to the folk art beauty at the Orange Show Monument. Halfway between the city and Austin, there’s centuries old quilts and art in a little 1890’s building in La Grange. You can dance the honky tonk in the “cowboy capital of the world”, Bandera, or you can see the beautiful Texan nights. You can explore the outdoors art experience at Cadillac Ranch or just head down quaint Route 66, one of the first highways in America. You can go to the place dinosaurs roamed at the Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, or check out the little Texas version of the Eiffel Tower in a small town called Paris.
