Walking through an art gallery is one of the simple pleasures of life. It doesn’t require any skills or knowledge to truly appreciate, merely a pair of eyes and a soul. Letting the art challenge, inspire, and ultimately reward you with an understanding of the piece in question.
New York City has long stood as one of the best places to see great art, but Aby Rosen, co-founder of the New York real estate development company RFR Holding, wants to give visitors to his great city more than just a view. He wants them to feel like they’re living amongst the beauty of art. To that end, he’s opening his first solo operation – a SoHo based hotel known as 11 Howard.
Designed with a Scandinavian aesthetic and boasting a French eatery taken straight from Paris, those alone would make for a fine stay in the city that never sleeps. But neither does this hotel – it will feature art as a unifying concept, filled to the brim with sculptures, paintings, and both photos and video installations.
This art museum you can stay in overnight opens April 1st. Learn more about it here.
