The balmy Riviera town of Menton is famous for its mild winters and the lemon trees that take advantage of the warm climate. The charming town’s main draw is its annual lemon festival during which residents create sculptures and parade floats made entirely out of wire frames covered in citrus. All in all, the festival utilizes 145 tons of fruit to create the colorful displays. Movie buffs might also want to check out the gorgeous winding road that traverses the Alps between Nice and Menton where scenes from To Catch a Thief were filmed.
