The world is full of beautiful landmarks and famous locations, places more well known than most human beings ever could dream of being remembered. But sometimes, it isn’t the most obvious choice that can give you the best option. Sometimes, you have to get off the beaten path, and find something amazing.
There’s the oddly moving frozen methane bubbles underneath the silent Abraham Lake in Alberta, Canada. Or you could check out the crystal caves of Chihuahua, Mexico. Everyone already knows the Bahamas are amazing, but no one visits the scenic and hidden away Dean’s Blue Hole. There are limestone forests in Madagascar, the colored earth if Mauritius, or even the fantasy film setting that is the Cavernas de Marmol in Chile.
None of these places are the tourist traps some of their more famous cousins are, and they’re just as (if not even more) gorgeous to see. Check out the full list right here.
