North Carolina is one of the smaller states in the United States, but that doesn’t mean it lacks beauty. It still manages to have a gorgeous museum, and even more than that.
The North Carolina Museum of Art in the town of Raleigh has recently been renovating and re-configuring the surrounding earth, all to make a great addition to the museum – an impressive seventeen acre section of land that will contain four hundred trees, twenty molded gardens, and bike paths that stretch over a hundred miles. And at the center of the gorgeous garden will stand a well manicured meadow. It sounds like a wide expanse, and somewhere you could go to be truly alone for a moment.
The park opens later this year, and if it looks half as beautiful as the concept pictures featured here at The New York Times, it might be an essential visit when you head to the American South. Learn more about it right here.
